There's been a change of time and venue (but not date!) for the official launch of the forthcoming Open Studios Ayrshire event in April. The launch will now be held at the magnificent new campus of the University of the West of Scotland, in Ayr. It will be from 6 - 9pm on 20th March. There will be a 'celebrity' to launch the event and you can meet the artists and have a chat about their work and their plans for the event. Refreshments will be available too.
Alan will be there - of course - with some freebies (postcards and mini prints) and a bunch of his nice new leaflets.
I'm gradually having new prints made from my original artworks, including this one of Kintyre from Ardminish Bay on Gigha, a place I know and love. My wife even set one of her novels, The Curiosity Cabinet, on an island with a landscape that is a lot like Gigha.
My plan is eventually to include an online shop on this website, but for the moment, many of my artworks - but especially a good range of prints - can be bought on our eBay store, The Scottish Home as well as from John Atcheson's excellent Scotland's Artists website. John is responsible for the prints, and he makes a truly wonderful job of them.
My studio is open only by appointment, but you're most welcome to contact me through this website if you would like more information.
We'll be blogging from time to time about Alan's work, what he's working on and what's for sale. Watch this space for news of forthcoming exhibitions too!
