MY PAINTINGS
I work mostly in acrylics these days, producing characteristically large, vibrant canvases.
My work has been described as a cross between folk and Indian art although it has qualities of outsider art.
Coming from a sculptural background I find that I enjoy experimenting with figures interacting in landscapes, rural and urban.
Some of my paintings have a period feel, while others are wholly contemporary. Some involve a myriad of figures while others are vivid landscapes or cityscapes. My work has a magical and quirky quality, full of life and movement - but most of all I love to explore vivid, life affirming colours.
Much of my work is available in print form, while a number of original artworks are available for purchase.
